Emmett Howard King, Jr.'s Obituary
Emmett Howard King, Jr. age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday May 13, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Howard was born on January 17, 1938 in Wythe County, Virginia to Howard and Doris Williams King. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lena Widner King.
He is survived by his siblings and their spouses Randall and Violet King of Mocksville, North Carolina; Faye Hampton of Sumter, South Carolina; Linda and Ron Morrison of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Pat and Jim Puckett of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Elaine and Bill Widner; Jean Lineberry; Treasea and K Reynolds all of Galax, Virginia; Bo and Barbara King of Wytheville, Virginia; Cheryl and Bobby Vaughan of Smyrna, Tennessee; thirteen nieces and nephews; twenty-three great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
