Emma Kate Weatherman age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Weatherman was born in Grayson County, Virginia on November 23,1934 to Samuel and Bertie Cannoy Poe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband Don Weatherman; sons and daughter-in-law Craig Weatherman; Ronald and Amy Weatherman; one grandson Connor Weatherman all of Galax, Virginia; sister Joy Sexton of Asheboro, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services held at this time.
