Emily Christine Semones Patton age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Patton was born on December 17, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to Edgar and Alta Quesenberry Semones. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph L. Patton; sisters and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Clayton Smythers; Diane Robinson ; brother-in-law Charlie Largen.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debra and Bruce Hill of Galax, Virginia; grandson and spouse Eric and Chassidy Hill of Monroe, North Carolina; sisters and brother-in-law Irleen Largen; Esther and Harley Bryant all of Hillsville, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Orba and Vera Mae Semones; Norman and Ruby Semones; Leo and Shirley Semones all of Hillsville, Virginia; brother-in-law Allen Robinson of Siler City, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Lee Houston and the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
