Emily Delp Dobbins age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Dobbins was born on July 29, 1933 in Carroll County, Virginia to Granvil J. and Nora Carpenter Delp. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Don Dobbins and siblings Barbara Showalter and Gerald Delp.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Madeline and Willard Goodson of Galax, Virginia,; special great-niece and great-nephews Hannah and Kendall Spangler; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Oakland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Stone and Garry Boyette officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Oakland United Methodist Church.
