Elwood Hodges Hackler's Obituary
Elwood Hodges Hackler, 94, passed away Thursday, July 3, at the Waddell Nursing Home in Galax.
Mrs. Hackler was born June 2, 1914 to Pless and Dora Jennings Hodges in Low Gap, North Carolina.
She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law: Larry & Wanda Hackler of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; two grandchildren : Julie & David Sink and Cherie Hackler; two great grandchildren: Bryan Sink and Natalie Sink. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Hackler was preceded in death by her husband: Herman and son Carroll Dean.
The family will receive friends Monday July 7 at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at the Gladeville United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kevin Ciorini officiating.
The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery, Galax, VA.
