Elwin Gale Hanks' Obituary
Elwin Gale Hanks age 69 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Gale was born in Radford, Virginia on November 24, 1943 to Curtis and Myrtle Beamer Hanks.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Jill and Kevin Isom of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandsons Tyler Kirby and Matt Kirby; brother Dean Hanks of The Villages, Florida; one niece and one nephew.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Oakland United Methodist Church with Rev. Sharon Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246, Abingdon, Virginia 24212.
