Elwin Eugene Fayne age 94 of Denton, North Carolina and formerly of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, North Carolina.

Mr. Fayne was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 27, 1931 to Arthur Robert and Stella Mae Nail Fayne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wilda Ann Combs Fayne; daughter Judith Ann Fayne and son Matt Fayne.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Chris and Richie Whisenant of High Point, North Carolina; sons and daughters-in-law Barry and Teresa Fayne of Birmingham, Alabama; Steven and Jackie Fayne of Clemmons, North Carolina; daughter-in-law Darlene Douglas; grandchildren Stevie Fayne II (Melissa Bostic); Ashleigh Bradford (Josh); Alex Fayne; Joseph Fayne; Andrew Billis (Jessica); four great- grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren..

The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Sam Bartlett and Barry Fayne officiating. Burial will be held in the Oakland Cemetery when weather permits. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
