Miss Elva Julia Montgomery, age 94, passed away Monday June 11, 2018 in the Waddell Nursing Home, Galax, Virginia. Miss Montgomery was born December 24, 192 3 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Kelly and Eula Norman Montgomery.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Pat Montgomery Rhudy, June Montgomery Reeves and brother James Montgomery.

She is survived by sisters Edna Norman of Galax, Virginia and Betty Roberts of King, North Carolina. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 Am in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
