Elmo Phipps Brannock age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Fishersville, Va..
Mr. Brannock was born on August 8, 1925 in Grayson County, Virginia to
Robert Andy & Flora Mae Dickerson Brannock. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Nuckolls Brannock.
He is survived by two sons & daughters-in-law Tom & Ellen Brannock of Stuarts Draft, Va.; Randy & Irene Brannock of Galax, Va.; grandchildren Heather Ream; Tonya Francis; David Dudley; Kimberly Talbert; Renee Quesenberry; great-grandchild Paden Jennings and several nieces.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Augusta Regional SPCA, P.O. Box 2014 Staunton, Virginia 24402-2014.
