Elmer Claude Williams' Obituary
Elmer Claude Williams age 87 of Galax Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Williams was born on July 20, 1929 in Carroll County, Virginia to Claude and Leona Carico Williams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald Williams and Claude Williams.
He proudly served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife Ada Lee Williams of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Paula and Mike Trivett of Galax, Virginia; Marcy and Steve Testerman of Independence, Virginia; Amanda and William Widner of Galax, Virginia; son Paul (Jackie) Haga of Hillsville, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Pisgah Church of Christ with Marvin Williams and Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Church of Christ. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
