Elmer John Russell's Obituary
Elmer John Russell, 92, of Galax VA passed away Wednesday, January 07, 2009 at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. He was born June 4, 1916 in Carroll County to George & Laura Redd Russell. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Ola D. Russell and son Larry Russell.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Rebecca & Ellis "Sonny" Muncy and Joan & Alan Hines all of Galax. Three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild also survive.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8'o'clock at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 10, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan Guynn Chapel with Rev. James Billings and Rev. Eddie Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
