Ella Molly Carrico Hall, 93, formerly of Roanoke and Galax, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Midlothian, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Horton A. Hall; parents, Rennie Franklin and Vicie Belle Dillon Carrico; step-mother, Emma Funk Carrico; daughter, Dolores Barker; grandson, Sammy Hall; and siblings, Bertha, Forrest Hale, Bert, Jim, Donna Barber and Ruby Martin; half-brother, Howard Carrico and half-sister, Lottie Mae Carrico.

She is survived by her children, Theron Hall (Barbara) of Pelham, N.C. , H. A. Hall (Barbara) of Powhatan, Va. and Patricia Stephenson (Mike) of Midlothian, Va; half-sister, Helen Smith and half-brothers, Wayne Carrico (Evelyn) and Leamon Carrico, all of Galax; ten grandchildren, Kylene, Rennie, Stephen, Pam, Stefanie, Daren, Scott, Michael, Sarah and Joe; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A loving mother and wife, she was a wonderful seamstress and cook, and loved singing gospel music with her family. She was a homemaker for many years, retiring after 12 years with the Roanoke County Schools. She was a member of The Church of Christ at Gambetta in Galax.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 17th, at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18th, at Vaughan-Guynn with Carroll Lineberry and Elmer Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Felts Cemetary.
