Ellis Boyd Ring, 76, passed away Thursday in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax. He was born November 25, 1930 to Daniel Boyd Ring and Victoria Fortner Ring in Galax.

He is survived by 2 sons & a daughter-in-law: Terry Martin Ring of Galax, David Boyd & Beverly Ring of Thomasville, NC; three daughters & sons-in-law: Connie Jane & Bill Nelson of Hillsville, Tammy Ruth & Jimmy Brewer of Galax, Robin Gail & Mike Hill of Wallburg, NC. Grandsons & spouses: Jason Boyd Ring & Christine; Shane Lee Murphy & Lashonda; Jeb Glenn Carico; Troy Ring, & Scotty Ring. Granddaughters: Missy Jane Hill; Rebecca Ann Hill; Hannah Gail Murphy. Three Great Grandchildren, Four Sisters, One Brother, Several Brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, several nieces & nephews, and a special friend Cherie Lynn Smith.

The family received friends at the funeral home Friday night from 7 until 9.

The funeral service will be held Saturday August 11 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Robert Lanter and Deacon Ronnie Isom officiating. Interment will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V. F. W. Post # 1115.
