Ellis Lee Cox, Jr.'s Obituary
Ellis Lee Cox, Jr. age 81, of Galax, passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born October 16, 1925 in Ohio to Ellis Lee Cox and Ocie Cockerham Cox.
His wife, Winnie Cox of Galax, one son Jerry Lee Cox of Galax, one grandson Russ Lee Cox and a great granddaughter, Gabrielle Cox, survive him. Also surviving are three brothers: Charles Robert Cox of East Bend, NC; Carol Dean Cox and Roger Cox both of Winston-Salem, NC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 12 noon until time for the funeral service at 2:00 Pm in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
Military rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
