Ellen Gaynelle Wilhelm Davis, aged 95, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, in the Kroontje Health Care Center, Blacksburg, VA. Ms. Davis was born in Roanoke, VA. to the late Curtis F. and Myrtle Newcomb Wilhelm.

Ms. Davis was a long-time resident of Galax, VA. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Wilhelm Moran. Left to cherish her memory is sister, Martha Wilhelm Craighead, of Vinton, VA., son, George B. Davis II and his wife, Princess DeVault Davis, Galax, VA., daughters, Jeanne D. Porter, Virginia Beach, VA., Susan D. and her husband Greg Hale, Christiansburg, VA, and Regina D. Talbert, Christiansburg, VA.

She is also survived by sister-in-law, Shirley A. Davis, Galax, VA, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 1PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel in Galax, Va. Her family will greet guests from noon until 1 PM, prior to the memorial service.
