Ella Marie Farmer age 83 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Farmer was born in Grayson County, Va. on December 6, 1925 to Levi Cloud & Rebecca Virginia Lundy Hodges. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert D. Farmer. She is survived by her children & their spouses Jeannie Campbell Horton of Roanoke, Va.; William Jackson (Jack) Campbell & Deborah of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Janet Farmer Saunders & Dickey of Hillsville, Va.; Joe David Farmer & Debi of Galax, Va.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; caregivers Rhonda Todd Newman & Jennifer Holderfield. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Charles Smythers & Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
