Ella Jessie Lowe South age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday June 17, 2024 at her home

Mrs. South was born on May 2, 1936, in Grayson County, Virginia to Dunk and Melba Goodson Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy W. South; son-in-law Bro. Garry Adams and a sister Hallie Brannock.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Marlene Adams of Galax, Virginia; Janice and E.R. Watson of Elk Creek, Virginia; son Michael South and Tammy Brannock of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Bro. Matthew and Tiffany Adams of Independence, Virginia; Jenny Watson and J.P. Roop of Kernersville, North Carolina; Roger and Kristy Watson of Elk  Creek, Virginia; Aaron Adams and Caitlin Hoebeke of Leesburg, Virginia; great-grandchildren Eli Watson; Cooper Adams; Jensen Adams; Perry Adams; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Rhonda Lowe of Conowingo, Maryland; sister Marie Norman of Galax, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Verl Brown and Brother Matthew Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
