Ella Mae Kirby age 93 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 11,2017 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Kirby was born on April 14, 1924 in Carroll County, Virginia to Orville and Brooke Boyles Pearman. In addition to her parents she was
preceded in death by her husband Wayne Kirby.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Kirby of Fries, Virginia; sister-in-law Jane Higgins of Rural Retreat, Virginia; brother-in-law Richard Kirby of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Bobbie Dunford and the Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Mt. Hope Cemetery Fund, C/O Warren Johnson, 223 Winterberry Road Galax, Virginia 24333.
