Ella Goldie Harris "Granny" age 94 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Granny was born on October 10, 1913 in Carroll Co., Va. to Frank B. & Ida C. Isom Jones. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Terril Harris; brothers Fielder Jones, Barnett Jones, Andrew Jones and Elmer Jones. She is survived by her daughter Wanda Jean Harris of the home; sister-in-law Hazel Jones of Salem, Va.; special friend Junior Lineberry of Galax, special niece Joan Davis of Butte, Montana; several nieces & nephews; host of friends and neighbors. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 am in First Baptist Church with Dr. Winford Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
