Ella Snow Hanks, age 102 of Hillsville, VA passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.
Mrs. Hanks was born on June 8, 1908 in Carroll County, VA to Lawrence and Rosetta Dalton Snow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
Daniel Hanks; children, Violet Jones, Fay Eastridge, Forest Hanks; brother & sisters, Walter Snow, Pearlie Snow, Minnie Nichols, Laura Nichols, Flora Snow.
She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law, Dottie and Olen Parks, Woodlawn, VA; sister, Margie Dalton, Hillsville, VA; grandchildren, Patricia Riggins, Elwood Jones, Rosetta Davis, Scott Parks, Cherokee Talbert; great-grandchildren, Linda Riggins, Holly and Timothy Davis, Vicki and Cruz Millan Maldonado.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA With the Rev. Clyde Akers, and the Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery, Carroll County, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at the Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home from 12:30 until 2:00 PM prior to the service on Tuesday.
