Ella M. Farmer's Obituary
Ella M. Farmer age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Farmer was born in Carroll County, Virginia on March 14, 1924 to Loyd and Edna Calloway Hanks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Farmer.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Shirley Ann and Corkey Leighty of Smyrna, Delaware; son and daughter-in-law James and Fleeta Farmer of Galax, Virginia; brother Arnold Hanks of Hillsville, Virginia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Don Fox and Bishop Bobby Twine, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
