Ella Mae Davis age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Davis was born in Grayson County, Virginia on November 14, 1930 to Conley and Daisy Kyle Maxwell.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Sylvia and Jackie Richardson; Marie Crockett all of Galax, Virginia; Carmen Davis James and Eric James of Deltona, Florida; sons and daughter-in-law William P. Davis; Fredrick L. Davis both of Alexandria, Virginia; John "Doug" and Chris Davis of Lorton, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Anna P. and Clarence Young of Galax, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 4 2015 at 2:30 PM in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. C. Bonnell Young, the Rev. Raymond Brown, Jr., the Rev. Stevie Richardson and Elder Jackie Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.
