Elizabeth Mozel Kirby Roberts age 90 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the Commonwealth Assisted Living.

Mrs. Roberts was born on January 24, 1925 in Low Gap, North Carolina to Emmett and Mary Norman Kirby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Blake Roberts.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Danny and Ann Roberts of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Ila Mae and Buford Haynes of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Irene Kirby of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Galax Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Steve Gayheart and Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the funeral service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Galax Primitive Baptist Church C/O Jimmy Haynes, 1438 Cranberry Road, Galax, Virginia 24333 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, 17th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60601-7633.
