Elizabeth Louise Moore age 86 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Waddell Nursing Home.

Mrs. Moore was born in Grayson County, Virginia on December 10, 1926 to Connley and Eliza Sexton Ball. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glen Moore.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Christopher May of Fries, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Buddy and Teresa Moore of Independence, Virginia; grandchildren Ryan Shaffner and Cody Moore; great-grandchildren Christopher Shaffner; Hunter Shaffner and Kaitlyn Shaffner; sister Nellie Goodson of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Carol Ball of Melburn, Florida; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Zach Royer officiating. Burial will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2:30 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Fries Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 9 Fries, Virginia 24330.
