Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Winsette Walker, 80, of Galax passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 in the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina.  Betty was born August 4, 1943 to the late Louis Eli Winesette, Jr. and  DeEtta Moser.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ellis Walker, Sr.

Betty is survived  by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie Ellis Jr. and Cheryl Walker; Ricky and Dawn Walker all of Galax; grandchildren and spouse Beth and Dusty Hodges, Amber and Stephen Gillespie, Dee and Jordan Rice, Logan Walker, and Peyton Walker; great grandchildren Braelyn Hodges, Stella Gillespie, Charlee Hodges, Turner Gillespie, Teagan Rice, Colt Hodges and Grayson Rice.  Also surviving are siblings and spouses: Jackie and Ronnie McGrady,  Penny and Dick Adams all of Galax; Janie and Dusty Lowe of Beulah, North Carolina, Buddy and Misty Gentry  of Mount Airy, C. J. (Butch) and Lisa Gentry of Radford, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Snow Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Ernie Smith and Nick Jones.  Internment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.
