Eleanor Hope Rector age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday May 22, 2019 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Rector was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 10, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Eldean Rector.

She is survived by daughters and son-in-law Deana and Kevin Osborne; Sonja Rector all of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren Devon Newman; Tyler Hill; Paige Hill; Alex Rector; Dustin Osborne; Jessica Osborne; three great-grandchildren Bella Newman; Lennox Newman and Allison Osborne; several nieces and nephews; special great nephew Cameron Rector.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Cranberry Christian Church with the Rev. Eddie Stanley and the Rev. Bill Ring officiating. Burial will follow in the Cranberry Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Cranberry Christian Church.
