Eleanor Joann Hill age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Joann was born on August 25, 1949 in Ennice, North Carolina to Charles and Iva Ruth Anthony Ashworth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hill.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Carol Lee Sizemore of Galax, Virginia; Karen Denise and Kendell Simpkins of Allisonia, Virginia; Bobbie Jo and Jose Mata of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Sharon Sizemore of Galax, Virginia; six step-children; brothers Dwight Ashworth of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; R.C. Ashworth of Texas; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; nineteen step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Edwards and the Rev. Brian Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church.
