Edwin Dale Liddle age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Liddle was born on May 9, 1935 in Grayson County, Virginia to Kemper and Eula Davis Liddle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Liddle and Frank Liddle.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He was retired Vice-President of Traffic Distribution at Vaughan Furniture Company.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Liddle; daughter and son-in-law Jealynn and Mike Coleman; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Elizabeth Liddle all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Bethany and Ryan Handy; Ethan Liddle; Kemper Coleman and Daniel Coleman; sister and brother-in-law Rebecca and Ralph Williams of Salem, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law J.K. Liddle, Jr.; Joe and Linda Liddle all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Bartlett, Rev. Ernie Smith and Greg Liddle officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 PM until time for the service at the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
