Edwin Carroll Alderman age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in the Waddell Nursing Home.

Edwin was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 13, 1944 to Lawrence and Ruth Lovill Alderman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Brittle Alderman and a sister Betty McCoy.

He is survived by his son Walter Alderman of Wilson, North Carolina; sister Sue Orr of Galax, Virginia;  brother Douglas Alderman of Fallon, Nevada; grandchildren John, Joshua and Justin all of Richmond, Virginia; nieces Debbie Olmstead of Mt. Airy, Georgia and  Beckie Lenz of Galax, Virginia; special friends Geneva, Charlotte, Trina, Lois and Karen.

Eddie enjoyed life! He loved his friends at Harmony House, Rooftop Seniors Group and his church family at New Harvest Community Worship Center. Eddie made the world a better place by simply being Eddie. He is loved and will be missed by many friends and family.

A date and time for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
