Edward Lee Hatfield, age 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday May 27, 2023 in Forsyth Medical Center.

Edward was born on April 8, 1941 in West Virginia to the late Jim and Edna Tanner Hatfield. He was also preceded in death by his sister Sandy Bedics.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie Smith Hatfield of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Karen Hatfield and Randy Phelps of Pinnacle, North Carolina; daughter and significant other April Kegley Acquaviva and Doug Osborne of Galax, Virginia; brothers Richard "Dick" Hatfield of Galax, Virginia, David Hatfield of Florida, and Herb Hatfield of West Virginia; grandson Tyler James Acquaviva; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

The service will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Snow Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Smith officiating with burial to follow in Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM at the church.
