Edward Franklin Carico's Obituary
Edward Franklin Carico age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Carico was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 29, 1929 to Lonnie Edward and Cora Nichols Carico.
He is survived by his wife Verna Mae Hodges Carico of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Rhonda and Paul Vaughan; Anne and Colen Kirby all of Ennice, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law E.J. and Pam Carico of Fort Mill, South Carolina; sisters Louise Vaughan and Edith Wilson both of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece and four nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice.
