Edward Harmon Bobbitt passed in peace at his home in Woodlawn, Virginia on Saturday May 22, 2021.

Eddie modeled a strong sense of hope and strength during a difficult battle with cancer. He had a deep love for his family and was blessed with many lifelong friendships that developed during his 32 years at Volvo, his passion for horses, playing golf, and time spent antiquing.

Eddie was born on August 17, 1954 to Linda Harmon Bobbitt and Charles Edward "Jack" Bobbitt. He is survived by his wife Karen Sturgill Bobbitt, daughter Sara Bobbitt, son Andrew Bobbitt (Jessica), daughter Jill Campbell (Charles), grandchildren Carli Campbell, Cal Campbell, Bella Crotts, Cash Crotts, mother Linda Harmon Bobbitt, sisters Jacqueline Bartlett, Cathy Lineberry (David), and Cindy Myers (Lynn). He was preceded in death by his father Jack Bobbitt and brother James Anderson "Smokey" Bobbitt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at the Blue Ridge Country Club from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The Rev Terri Gregory will be the officiating minister. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Mt. Valley Hospice.
