Edna Reeves Stata, 86, of Fries, went to be with her Heavenly Father on
Saturday, December 15, 2012.

She was born in Wythe County to the late William (Bill) Reeves and Myrtle S. Reeves.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Hutch Stata, and sisters Bertie Patton and Myra Jeanne Willard.
She is survived by a Daughter and son-in-law Anna and Don Bond of Roanoke, Va., Granddaughter and husband Tiffany and Robb Childs, and Great Grandson, Alex Childs of Springfield, Va.; Sisters and brother-in-laws, Hallie Simcox of Lowgap, NC; Betty Jo Creed, of Independence, VA; Barbara Mayes of Roanoke, VA; Linda and Raymond Byrd of Danville, VA; and Harry Patton of Galax, VA; brother and sister-in-law William David and Linda Reeves of Fries, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Also very special friends Temple Davis and Harry Boyles.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Fries Baptist Church., 111 East Main St., Fries, Va. Pastor John Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends preceding the service at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM.
