Edna Mae Montgomery age 74 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Montgomery was born on January 5, 1938 in Carroll County, Virginia to Andrew Jackson and Irene Johnson Hawks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Clinton Eugene Hawks.
She is survived by her husband Robert Carter Montgomery of Hillsville, Virginia; children and spouses
Sandra Ann and Vince Jones of Perryville, Maryland; Sharon Kay and Michele Hancock of Greensboro, North Carolina; Thomas and Dreama Montgomery of Wytheville, Virginia; sisters –in-law and spouses Sharon Hawks and son Randall , Pat Montgomery all of Galax, Virginia ; Mary and Bob Brown of Hillsville, Virginia; Sue and Gilmer McMillan of Vinton, Virginia; brother-in- law Bruce Dunseth of Orange Park, Florida; several nieces and nephews; close friend of 20 years Kenneth Pack of Wytheville, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Galax Seventh Day Adventist Church with Elder Rush Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.
