Edith V. Linville age 83 of Fries, Va. passed away Wednesday, June 13,2007 at her home. Mrs. Linville was born on January 3, 1925 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Tyra & Addie Bourne Shaffner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Jerry Alderman and brothers Sam Shaffner and Marvin Shaffner. She is survived by her husband Hobert Linville of Fries, Va.; daughters & son-in-law Ruth Ayers; Dorothy & Douglas Alderman; sons & daughters-in-law Bobby & Rose Linville; Leon & Pat Linville all of Fries,Va.; sisters Marie Pearman of Ivanhoe, Va.; Onita Bourne of Fries, Va.; brothers Kyle Shaffner, Coy Shaffner, Virgil Shaffner and Earl Shaffner all of Fries, Va.; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Titus Anderson, Pastor Bill Davis and Pastor Faye Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from seven until nine at the Fries Church of God of Prophecy.
