Edith Rose Anders. widow of John Rice Anders, age 91, of Galax, VA, died Thursday June 18, 2009 in Uniontown, PA.
Mrs. Anders was born in Grayson County, VA, Feb. 25, 1918. to William Hasten and Flossie Ardella Shores Lowe.
She is survived by one daughter, Juanita Bonham, Uniontown, PA; sons, Howard Anders, Fries, VA and Curtis Anders, Galax, VA; one sister, Opal Robinson, Galax; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Eugene Anders.
The funeral service will be held Monday, June 22, 2009, in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel
at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in the Glade Creek Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until noon preceding the funeral service. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Ted Bartlett & the Rev. Billy Savage.
