Edgar Hugh McBride, 83, of Galax passed away Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Independence, VA.
Hugh was born September 14, 1924 in Carroll County, Virginia to Cleve & Mary Jones McBride.
He is survived by his wife Rose Marie McBride of the home, five children: Karla Burcham of Galax, Judy Saul of Kentucky, Eddie McBride & wife Nellie of Galax, Jackie McBride of North Carolina, and Debbie Liddle and husband Barry of Galax. Also surviving are two sisters: Helen Viola of Florida and Ruby Evans of Sparta, North Carolina and nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.
Friends may call at the home on 209 Caldwell Street, Galax, VA.
