Eckman R. Alderman, age 89, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006 at his home in Woodlawn, VA. Mr. Alderman was born October 1, 1917 in Carroll County to William S. Alderman and Mattie Bolen Alderman.

His wife, Clydie Maude Thomas Alderman, preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Bonnie & Guy Hanks of Hillsville, Delphia Frazier of Woodlawn; two sons and daughters-in-law: Clinton & Barbara Alderman, Elwood & Shirley Alderman all of Woodlawn; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Woodlawn Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Harvey Carico officiating. Interment will follow in the Thomas Alderman Cemetery in Carroll County, VA.
