Earlene J. Barrett age 70 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 5,2016 at her home.

Earlene was born on September 4, 1945 in Grayson County, Virginia to Jesse Ray and Fannie Hill Jones Beck. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a great-grandson Matthew Kemper Lundy; three brothers Jennings Baird Jones; Carlos Aldean Jones and Billy Carroll Beck.

She is survived by her husband John Odell Barrett of Fries, Virginia; daughter Patsy Johnson of Sparta, North Carolina; daughter and fiance' Angela Ray and Mark Eastridge of Fries, Virginia; son Jeff Odell Barrett, Sr. of Fries, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Yvonne and Curtis M. Jones of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Christy and Derrick Berry; Barry and Heather Fields; Amanda Ray; Bubba and Beth Ray; TeSheena and Jason Anders; Amber and Jacob Beasley; Courtney Melton; J.J. Barrett; Tyler Johnson; Miracle Faith Barrett; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Thomas and the Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church.
