Earl William Higgins, 78, of Hillsville, VA, passed away on Friday,
May 30th, 2025.

Earl was preceded in death by his Parents, Thomas Earl Higgins and Sarah
Almeda Jennings; Step-Mother, Grace Elaine Higgins;
Grandparents, Carson and Ida Mae Cline; Brother, Marvin Dennis Higgins
and Brother-In-Law, Clyde Combs.

He is survived by his only Wife, Brenda Stoots Higgins; Children, Amy
Jensen and Jason Higgins; Grandson, Ian Jensen; Sisters and
Brothers-In-Law, Teresa Combs, Mary and Jimmy Harmon, Lisa and Tom
Singleton, Arlene and Steve Wilmouth and Lorrie and William Sexton;
Special Brothers-In-Law, Junior Stoots, Danny Stoots and Jackie
Anders; several Nieces and Nephews and several Great-Nieces and
Great-Nephews.

A proud veteran, Earl served two tours in Vietnam, from December of
1967 to November of 1968. As a helicopter Crew Chief and Door Gunner,
he earned The Army Commendation Medal for Exceptional Meritorious
Achievement and The Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Achievement In
Ground Operations Against Hostile Forces. He was Honorably Discharged
as an E5.

Earl never met a stranger and left everyone wanting more of his time,
his stories and his antics. His compassion, heroism and strength are
forever admirable. And his love of family and friends will forever
endure.
