Rev. Earl Lee Childress, Sr. better known as "Buster Rutherford" age 60 of Fries, Va. passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home.

Buster was born on May 5, 1950 in Roanoke County, Virginia to Andy John and Bertha Frances Draughan Rutherford.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Childress; daughter Sherry A. Childress and son Earl Lee Childress, Jr. all of Fries, Virginia; special sister and brother-in-law Priscilla and Kenneth Green of Roanoke, Virginia; special friends Terry Sapp, Joan Hammond and Ruby Thomas.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Timmy Swinney officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from ten until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
