Earl James Brewer age 93 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Brewer was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 23, 1930 to Kahle and Edna Boyer Brewer . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Higgins Brewer.

He is survived by his daughters and son-n-law Pat and Bill Crigler of Lexington, South Carolina; Cathy Felts of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren;  Lee Felts; Clint King; Michael Felts (Sophie); Jonathan King; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Kent Allender officiating. Burial will follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
