Dwayne Leon Roberts age 79 of Galax, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, August  5, 2025 in the Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville, Virginia.

Dwayne was born on December 7, 1945, in Galax, Virginia to Thurman and Mallie Vaughn Roberts. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Diana Roberts.

He is survived by a daughter Valarie Flanigan of Maiden, North Carolina; mother Mallie Roberts of Galax; Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Rita and Mike Jennings of Galax, Virginia; Teresa Roberts of   Woodlawn, Virginia; Cindy and Keith Bischer of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Terry and Carmela Roberts of Woodlawn, Virginia;  two grandchildren and spouses Victoria and Robbie Brown of Lincolnton, North Carolina; Justin and Krystal Flanigan of Maiden, North Carolina;  two great-grandchildren Cameron Brown and Eli Brown; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 12:00 PM in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Galax with Keith Bischer officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
