Downey Leon Linville, 65, of 3029 Scenic Road, Fries, VA passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

He is survived by his wife: Pat Linville, two sons Michael & Timmy Linville, two daughters & sons-in-law: Terry & Melvin Bourne and Tina & Richard White all of Fries; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Also surviving are: His father Hobert Linville, two sisters & brother-in-law: Dorothy & Douglas Alderman and Ruth Ayers; brother & sister-in-law: Bobby & Rose Linville all of Fries, VA. Several nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Edith Linville, his brother-in-law Leon Ayers; and nephew Jerry Alderman.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, May 11, 2008, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Titus Anderson and Daniel Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery beyond Fries.
