Douglas Clay "Cotton" Carico age 53 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Douglas was born in Galax, Virginia on April 15, 1967. He was preceded in death by a brother Tom Carico.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Latasha and Lucus Hawks of Low Gap, North Carolina; two grandsons Tryston Bowman and J.T. Bowman both of Low Gap, North Carolina; mother and step-father Pat and Randy Bond; father and step-mother Fred and Margie Carico all of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Amy Carico; his fiance' Kay Hall Billings of Independence, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM in the Galyean Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the graveside service at the Galyean Cemetery.
