Dorothy Lucille Richardson age 91 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Richardson was born in Piney Flats, Tennessee on March 20, 1917 to Simon & Minnie Hull Cole. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Estien E. Richardson. She is survived by daughters & son-in-law Sally Richardson of Galax, Va.; Ruth & Gary Gardner of Cleveland, Tennessee; son & daughter-in-law Willie & Sandy Richardson of Pulaski, Va.; brother Claude Cole of Claudville, Va.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Walt Simmerman and Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Galax, Va..
