Dorothy Hudson Edwards, age 94, of Galax, Va. and Baltimore, Maryland passed away peacefully on March 31st at the Golden Living Center in Galax.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Albert H. Edwards, and her younger sisters, Florence Standiford, and Lillian Payne. All three sisters moved to Galax to be together after they retired.

Dorothy was a lifelong active church member. She taught Sunday School for over 20 years in Baltimore, and was a sunshine member of the Methodist women of First United Methodist Church in Galax since 1989. Her church, her neighbors, and friends were her adopted family and one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Funeral arrangements will be a graveside service only per her wishes at Bishop's Chapel Cemetery on April 5th at 2:00 PM.
