Dorothy Burnette Frost (Better known as Pinky), age 79, of Galax , VA passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Galax Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Frost was born May 11, 1938 in Carroll County, Virginia to Effie and Thurman Burnette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John Mumphord Frost and a sister, JoAnn Burnette Newman.

She is survived by sister and brother-in-laws, Beulah and Joseph W. Stacy, Jr. of Roanoke, VA and Joyce B. and Ted Phillips of Hillsville, VA.

Also, survived by a brother-in-law, Larry Joe and Marsha Newman of Gainesville, GA.

Nieces Sandrina Stacy and Kevin Phipps, Reston, VA; Dedra Stacy and Bill Kassy, Falls Church, VA. Nephew, Anthony Paul Newman, Allen, TX

The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Terri Gregory and Carroll Lineberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2018 in the chapel at Vaughan-Guynn.
