Dorothy Hazel Bowers' Obituary
Dorothy Hazel Burnette Bowers age 95 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Bowers was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 29, 1916 to Roby and Ocie Sizemore Burnette. In addtion to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Bowers; son Frazier Bowers and grandchildren Teresa Bowers and Sabrina Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters Frances Mabe of Galax, Virginia; Mary Tate of Hillsville, Virginia; Sue Phillips of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Buford and Milda Bowers of Woodlawn, Virginia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Hebron Church of Christ with Sammy Burnette and Billy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
