Doris Ann Byrd age 62 of Fries, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Doris Ann was born in Roanoke, Virginia on March 20, 1954 to Don and Ethel Vaughan Byrd.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law Judy and Richard Farmer of Fries, Virginia; Dawn and John Hall of Chester, Virginia; niece Sarah Hall; nephew and wife Adam and Julie Farmer; several aunts and uncles; caregivers and friends Brenda and Raymond Hall.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Fries Y Restoration, BB&T Bank, P.O. Box 441, Fries, Virginia 24330.
